Bank Center-invest attracted RUR 1 billion to the economy of the South of Russia

On November 23 of 2005 Bank Center-invest signed an agreement about obtaining a syndicated credit to the amount of RUR 1 billion. Bank Center-invest became the first bank of the South of Russia that entered the market of syndicated credits. New source of “long” and cheap funds will allow Bank Center-invest to increase volumes of lending to enterprises of the South of Russia – this will accelerate new industrialization of regional economy.

Credit period is 6 months; according to the terms of agreement this period can be extended for another 6 months. Initial planned credit volume (RUR 300 million) was increased 3 times due to considerable excess of demand over supply in the process of syndication.

Agreement of attracting a syndicated credit was signed by 15 banks of Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. Five of ten largest banks of Russia participated in syndication. Participation of the largest banks of Russia and also wide geographical position of the syndication participants prove a high business reputation of Bank Center-invest at Russian and international levels.

Organizer of syndication was CJSC “Raiffeisenbank Austria” (Moscow), which is one of the leaders of rapidly growing Russian market of syndicated credits. In 2003-2005 CJSC “Raiffeisenbank Austria” became an organizer for syndicated credits to be granted to Russian borrowers of the spheres of retail trade, heat-and-power engineering complex, metallurgy, commercial real estate, telecommunications and banking activities to the total amount of about USD 1.9 billion.

OJSC “Bank for foreign commerce” (Vneshtorgbank), OJSC “International Moscow Bank”, OJSC Joint-stock bank of natural gas industry (Gazprombank), Joint-stock credit bank “Moscow business world” (MBW Bank) (all of the above mentioned banks are from Moscow), OJSC “Industrial and construction bank” (Saint-Petersburg), OJSC “Bank of Khanti-Mansiysk” (Khanti-Mansiysk) became plenipotentiary co-organizers for syndicated credit. Leading manager for syndication was OJSC Bank “Zenith” (Moscow), status of co-leading manager was granted to JSC “ATF Bank” (Kazakhstan), CJSC “JSCB for reconstruction and development “Econombank” (Saratov), and also to daughter banks of the largest world banks from Italy and Turkey – CJSC “Bank Inteza”, CJSC “Denizbank Moscow”, CJSC credit bank “Guarantees Bank-Moscow”. OJSC JSCB “Moscow bank for reconstruction and development” (Moscow) and JSC “Nurbank” (Kazakhstan) became managers for syndication.

Bank Center-invest attracted over 150 million of euro to the economy of the South of Russia. Those are long-term financial resources, which are used for financing of investment projects, mortgage, development of small business, agroindustrial complex and implementation of energy saving technologies.
