Center-invest Bank Participates in the Russian-Chinese Forum

02.11.2023

On 23–25 October 2023 the Russian-Chinese Investment Development and Trade Cooperation Forum took place in China. Yury Bogdanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director for Innovations of Center-Invest Bank, attended the Forum and made a presentation.

The main objective of the Forum is to develop and strengthen trade and economic relations between two countries in the area of investment cooperation, industrial production, trade in commodities and services.

China was represented at the Forum by more than 500 financial and investment companies, trading and industrial enterprises. The Russian participants included around 50 representatives of Russian government bodies, state-owned corporations and other businesses. The Forum was organized by the Liaoning Province Government, Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machines and Electronics, Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia.

Center-Invest Bank’s Director for Innovations Yury Bogdanov held a number of business meetings with representatives of Chinese financial companies and banks, and shared the experience of a regional bank in Southern Russia.

Since 2011, Center-invest Bank has been opening RMB accounts for entrepreneurs free of charge, and ensures smooth performance of foreign economic activities involving Chinese partners. Over two years the monetary equivalent of goods turnover between the bank’s clients and their Chinese partners has grown more than threefold: in 2022 by more than 85 % compared to 2021, and during 10 months of 2023 by 70 % compared to the figures of 2022.

In 2023, Center-Invest Bank for the first time presented its annual statement and sustainable development report in Chinese, and a new section for investors in the Chinese language was added to the bank’s website. Such transparency allows to ensure a higher level of trust and faster interaction with the bank’s Chinese partners.

For Southern Russia, China is an important and mutually beneficial partner in international trade. Participation in the Forum creates new prospects for international interaction, expansion of investment, trade and industrial cooperation, exchange of best practices, and conforms to the ESG strategy of Center-Invest Bank.
