The World Bank’s Country Director and Resident Representative for the Russian Federation, Andras Horvai, learnt about Center-invest Bank’s experience of setting up Financial Literacy Centres in partnership with leading universities in southern Russia.

Center-invest Bank’s Kind Theatre project has been shortlisted for the FINAWARD-2018, in the Social Project category. The FINAWARD recognises innovations and achievements in the financial sector.

Center-invest Bank’s profits for 2018, calculated under IFRS, exceeded RUB1.5bn. The bank improved its balance sheet structure and increased its reliability and investment appeal.

Center-invest Bank’s Front Office Customer Service System won the CRM System category in the Global CIO "2018 Project of the Year" competition.

On 18 December 2018 Center-invest Bank and the Endowment Fund for Education and Science in the Southern Federal District awarded scholarships to the best 400 students from 17 of the region’s higher education institutions. Each student received a RUB20,000 scholarship and a certificate entitling them to a preferential rate on business start-up loans (8% per annum).

This year, 1,100 students entered the competition. From among these dedicated, intelligent and talented young people, the jury selected the top 400.

On 6 December 2018, at the XVI Russian Bond Congress in St Petersburg, Center-invest Bank received an award for successfully initiating a green loans market in Russia and making a substantial contribution to its subsequent development. The award was presented by the National Association of Concessionaires and Long-Term Investors in Infrastructure (NADKI) and the CBonds group.

A Big Data Analysis Festival was held at Rostov State Economics University on 4 — 5 December 2018 as part of the II Open Russian Statistics Congress. Public lectures and masterclasses, an analytics competition, and a big data hackathon attracted over 500 students and young scientists from Russia and abroad.

A new group of residents began working with Center-invest Bank’s business accelerator on 21 November 2018. The 50 participants will spend a month attending seminars and masterclasses designed to help them increase their profitability and enter international markets.
