Center-invest Bank was an official partner for Russia’s Earth Hour 2019, organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) with the support of the Environment Ministry and the Moscow government. This was the eleventh year that Russia had participated in the event.

Last month The Banker magazine published its annual ranking of the Top 50 Russian banks. Center-invest Bank has moved up the ranking, thanks to its work in the real economy.

Center-invest Bank has presented its results for 2018, calculated in accordance with IFRS. The bank demonstrated high-quality growth for its key performance indicators. Its results confirm the effectiveness of its transformational banking business model, which includes environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements.

A loan agreement between Symbiotics S.A. and Center-invest Bank was signed. The three year loan facility totalling RUB600million will primarily be used to finance micro, small and medium size enterprises in the south of Russia.

Chairman of the Executive Board of Center-invest Bank, Sergei Smirnov, spoke at the recent conference on "Responsible Financial and Investment Practice in Russia". He presented the bank’s experience of ESG investing and announced that the bank is ready to issue "green bonds".

On 18 February the Board of Directors of The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) ratified Center-invest Bank’s membership of the organisation. The Alliance is a network of more than 50 banks from around the world, whose aim is to use finance to deliver sustainable economic, social and environmental development.

The World Bank’s Country Director and Resident Representative for the Russian Federation, Andras Horvai, learnt about Center-invest Bank’s experience of setting up Financial Literacy Centres in partnership with leading universities in southern Russia.

Center-invest Bank’s Kind Theatre project has been shortlisted for the FINAWARD-2018, in the Social Project category. The FINAWARD recognises innovations and achievements in the financial sector.
