Center-invest Bank has won the category Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe for corporate responsibility in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2020. The Bank was selected for its transparent reporting in accordance with Russian and international standards, environmental and social responsibility, and successful localization of the ESG banking business model.

Center-invest Bank has published an Environmental Report for 2019, disclosing information about how it has used the funds raised from Russia’s first issue of green bank bonds.

On 9 July 2020 the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) upheld Center-invest Bank’s A(RU) national scale rating, outlook stable.

Center-invest Bank ranks 24^th in the Media Rating of Russian Banks produced by the Brobank.ru service. The rating is based on the frequency of mentions of the company in the information field, and the frequency of searches using Yandex and Google, in the first half of 2020.

Aleksandr Dolganov, Deputy Chairman of Center-invest Bank’s Executive Board, has joined the Russian State Duma working group responsible for the legislative and regulatory framework to support the creation of a standardisation and verification system for green financial instruments.

Measures taken by Center-invest Bank in response to COVID-19 have been highlighted as examples of best practice among signatories to the Principles of Responsible Banking of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI).

In an interview for Kommersant-South, Dr Vasily Vysokov, Chairman of Center-invest Bank’s Board of Directors, spoke about the business mood, competition among banks, and the positive effects of the pandemic for the financial markets. Center-invest Bank has conducted an online survey, allowing businesses to independently assess their potential and to create a development strategy for the short-term.

On 28 April 2020, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, chaired a video conference meeting on banking issues with the Russian Central Bank Governor, Elvira Nabiullina. The meeting was attended by heads of State Duma committees and parliamentary groups. Heads of Russian banks also attended, including Dr Vasily Vysokov, Chairman of Center-invest Bank’s Board of Directors.
