In January to November 2016, Center-invest Bank made 5,000 mortgage loans totalling RUB8.2bn. This was more than double its volumes for the same period of last year. The number of mortgage loans increased by 50%. The weighted average interest rate was reduced by 1.5 percentage points to 12.53%. The growth in mortgage lending has been achieved thanks to a government-subsidised mortgage programme and the bank’s own retail loan programmes.

The Krasnodar Krai Public Chamber has bestowed a «Public Recognition» award on the Financial Literacy Centre in Krasnodar. The Centre is a joint social and educational project of Center-invest Bank and Kuban State Technological University.

The eight winners of the second annual Smirnov Journalism Competition were announced on 5 December 2016. The total prize fund was RUB500,000. The competition was organised by the Rostov Region Public Chamber, the Rostov Region Union of Journalists, and Center-invest Bank.

Center-invest Bank participated in the Summit on the Localisation of SAP Solutions, held in Moscow. The Summit marked the 15th anniversary of the launch of the first Russian version of SAP. The event brought together managers and specialists from finance, logistics and personnel departments, as well as IT specialists, to discuss best international practice in SAP localisation.

From 1 November to 31 December 2016, Center-invest Bank is offering its customers a record-low rate of 13.75% per annum for loans with a five-year term. The loans can be for any purpose and amount.

Center-invest bank’s specialists visited the head office of Youth Business International in London, UK. During the business meeting Center-invest Bank shared its experience in realization of the Youth Business Russia programme in Rostov-on-Don.

On 17 June at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2016, the Rostov region government, JSC National System of Payment Cards (NSPC), and Center-invest Bank entered into a trilateral cooperation agreement on information and payment services.

Center-invest Bank held its annual meeting of shareholders at its head office in Rostov-on-Don on 2 June 2016. Ahead of the meeting, the bank organised a series of meetings between its shareholders and its managers and customers. This approach helps to overcome misconceptions in Europe about southern Russia’s economy and the risks in its financial sector.
