At the end of November, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Center-invest Bank, Dr. Vasily Vysokov, addressed the 18th Annual International Russian Banking Forum, held by the Adam Smith Institute in London. Dr. Vysokov spoke about the implementation by Center-invest Bank and its customers of a sustainable development model.

No charge for payments made in Chinese yuan
Center-invest Bank has announced new special terms for its customers engaged in international trade: all payments in Chinese yuan will be free of charge until 31 December 2011.

Based on its 1H 2011 results, Center-Invest Bank, southern Russia’s leading regional bank, ranks 49th by liquid assets and 72nd by net assets in the ranking of Russia’s leading banks published by RosBusinessConsulting (www.rbc.ru). The bank’s assets have increased by 20%.

On 20-21 September 2011, the third Russia-India-China (RIC) Business Forum was held in Rostov-on-Don. The co-organisers for the Russian side were the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Center-Invest Bank.

Moody’s upgrades Center-Invest Bank’s international ratings to Ва3
On 9 August, international rating agencies upgraded the ratings of Center-Invest Bank, southern Russia’s largest bank (Rostov-on-Don). Moody’s Investors Service upgraded the bank’s long-term local currency debt rating and foreign currency deposits ratings from B1 to Ba3. At the same time, Moody’s Interfax Rating Agency upgraded the long-term National Scale Rating of Center-Invest Bank to Aa3.ru from A2.ru (strong creditworthiness relative to other domestic issuers).

Center-Invest Bank announces 1H 2011 results: loan portfolio up 17%
Center-Invest Bank’s results for 1H 2011 reflect a successful six months. Our loan portfolio increased by 17%, or RUR5.5bn, to reach RUR36bn. More than 10% of Center-Invest loans are used for business modernization projects, which are delivering annual growth for our customers of 30-40%. The growth in the loan portfolio can be attributed to the implementation of the bank’s Strategy for the Modernization of SMEs in Southern Russia, and the use of new financial products and modern information technologies.

Center-Invest Bank raises RUR2.5bn for the modernization of southern Russia
On 21 June Center-Invest Bank sold RUR2.5bn of commercial papers. Total demand exceeded the initial offer size by three times, at RUR4.4bn. The bonds mature in 2014, the coupon rate is 8.4%, and there will be a put option after 1.5 years. The bank will use the funds raised to implement its strategy for the modernization of southern Russia’s SMEs.

Center-Invest Bank Rewards Southern Russia’s Best Young Lecturers
As has become traditional, on 26 May, Russian Entrepreneurs’ Day, Center-Invest Bank held an award ceremony for the winners of the third annual competition “Best Young Lecturer”, organised by Center-Invest Bank and the Endowment Fund for Science and Education in the Southern Federal District.
