Don entrepreneurs are to write an online textbook for Russian schoolchildren.
As part of the Enterprise for All programme, Center-Invest Bank has initiated a project to develop an online textbook on the principles of enterprise for schoolchildren in the Rostov region and southern Russia.

Teploenergo and the EBRD: EUR10m invested in infrastructure and the environment in Taganrog, the birthplace of Chekhov
Teploenergo has completed an investment programme to upgrade its heating infrastructure in the city of Taganrog. Total investment in the project was RUR354m: RUR133m was contributed by the European Bank for Regional Development (EBRD) to the company's registered capital in 2007, and RUR221m was provided in 2008 as a ten-year EBRD loan.

The successful performance of Center-Invest Bank's bonds on the stock market is reducing the cost of credit for our customers.
Center-Invest Bank has reviewed the performance of its second bond issue in the first six months since listing. The 5-year bond issue raised RUR3bn.

According to the rating “Leader of the year 2009” published in the local newspaper Gorod N (issue №50(859) dated 28.12.09), Center-invest Bank has become the most successful company of the year, and Dr.Vasily Vysokov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJS Bank Center-invest, becomes the leader in the nominations “Successful business owner of the year 2009” and “Influential businessman of the year 2009”.

Center-Invest Bank’s new social project helps pensioners save energy and money
On 15th December, Center-Invest Bank launched a new social project. All 130 of our branches (in the Rostov region, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, and the Volgograd region) are now giving out Philips energy-saving light bulbs as free gifts for depositors who receive their pensions through Center-Invest.

Post-crisis loans for Center-Invest Bank customers
On 19 November, in Frankfurt, Center-Invest Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC, member of the World Bank Group) signed an agreement opening two five-year credit lines: RUR600m for lending to SMEs in the agrarian sector, and RUR300m for financing housing and communal services energy efficiency projects. Under the agreement, IFC has also opened a USD10m trade finance guarantee facility to expand the foreign trade operations of Center-Invest’s SME customers in southern Russia.

Center-Invest Bank: the leader for SME lending
In Q1-Q3 2009, Center-Invest Bank made 2944 loans to SMEs totalling 9.7 billion rubles. As such, in terms of the number of loans issued, it outperformed the other banks participating in the Rostov region SME Development Programme.
