Center-Invest Bank’s new social project helps pensioners save energy and money
On 15th December, Center-Invest Bank launched a new social project. All 130 of our branches (in the Rostov region, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, and the Volgograd region) are now giving out Philips energy-saving light bulbs as free gifts for depositors who receive their pensions through Center-Invest.

Post-crisis loans for Center-Invest Bank customers
On 19 November, in Frankfurt, Center-Invest Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC, member of the World Bank Group) signed an agreement opening two five-year credit lines: RUR600m for lending to SMEs in the agrarian sector, and RUR300m for financing housing and communal services energy efficiency projects. Under the agreement, IFC has also opened a USD10m trade finance guarantee facility to expand the foreign trade operations of Center-Invest’s SME customers in southern Russia.

Center-Invest Bank: the leader for SME lending
In Q1-Q3 2009, Center-Invest Bank made 2944 loans to SMEs totalling 9.7 billion rubles. As such, in terms of the number of loans issued, it outperformed the other banks participating in the Rostov region SME Development Programme.

Center-Invest Bank is to invest RUR300m in improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings.
On 27 October, Center-Invest Bank made its first loan under its new programme Energy Efficient Housing and Communal Services. The recipient of the RUR150,000 loan was the Kirova 2008 Housing Cooperative. The funds were used to install a heat meter in Building No. 62 on Ulitsa Kirova in the town of Gelendzhik. With the new metering equipment, the residents will be able to reduce their heating bills by up to 60%.
