In the frames of “European finance week” in Frankfurt Bank Center-invest was presented at special Congress for Central and Eastern Europe. Independent director, a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Center-invest, ex-president of Bundesbank Ernst Welteke presented analysis of tendencies and possibilities in Russian banking sector to his colleagues and also shared his impressions of economic potential of the South of Russia.

For eight years running at the end of November “European finance week” takes place in Frankfurt – financial capital of Europe. In the frames of one of the most influential economic forums of Europe there took place the exhibition “European banking and insurance business”, over 20 seminars and conferences; leading specialists of the largest finance institutions of the world made speeches during those seminars and conferences. Bank Center-invest’s participation in “European finance week” is a sign of recognition of the Bank of Don region by European banking association.

President of the Board of Directors of Bank Center-invest professor V.V. Vysokov, doctor in economics, took part in the actions of the Congress. Meetings and discussions, which took place, allowed closing positions and planning new projects for investment attraction to the South of Russia.

Let us remind you that during their visits Mr. Welteke and Mr. Vysokov had meetings with Deputy Plenipotentiary of the RF President Mr. Pochinok, governor of Rostov region Mr. Chub, governor of Krasnodar region Mr. Tkachev and took part in “Russian-German day of SMEs financing” and economic forum “Kuban-2005”. According to the appraisal of Minister for economic development and trade of RF Mr. Gref “it is needed to be a very advanced bank to invite to a Russian region a person of such a high level as ex-president of Bundesbank Ernst Welteke. His agreement to become an independent director of Bank Center-invest is a good sign for investors to choose the South of Russia”.

Reliability of Bank Center-invest for potential partners is proved by the experience of activities of European bank for reconstruction and development and also by the participation of DEG in new increase of capital of Bank Center-invest.

Total volume of credit and guarantee lines of European banks, opened to Bank Center-invest, increased 2 times this year and made up 150 million of Euro. Those are long-term financial resources, which are used for financing of investment projects, mortgage, small business development, agroindustrial complex, communal service and implementation of energy-saving technologies.
