Transformational banking promoted as part of global project

27.10.2014

On 23 October, Center-invest Bank lent its support to the Banking On Values global project, which unites 25 financial institutions, serving over 20 million customers and employing 30,000 people.

The Banking On Values project is run by The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV). The Alliance is a network of the world’s leading sustainable banks, which are committed to social, environmental and cultural development, financing small business, and increasing knowledge about entrepreneurship among children, young people, and the population as a whole.

As part of this project, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Center-invest Bank, Dr Vasily Vysokov, gave a public lecture on “Creative Methods of Analysing and Generating Solutions” at the Financial Literacy Centre in Rostov-on-Don. The lecture was based on Dr Vysokov’s new book, “Transformational Banking: made in Russia”. Published in September, in both Russian and English, this is the world’s first handbook on transformational banking. It has already been presented at international forums in the United States and Russia.

The new transformational banking business model is based on creative solutions for sustainable long-term development. Dr Vysokov’s ideas have been very well received, and Center-invest Bank has been invited to join creative teams in a number of the world’s leading banks.

The book provides a sound theoretical justification for the need to switch to this new banking model and shares Center-invest Bank’s own experience of applying the model. It also provides specific recommendations for the transformation of financial markets in the light of current development challenges.
