As in previous years, Center-invest Bank ran a number of events to raise financial literacy in the region during Global Money Week.

To mark this year’s Global Money Week, Center-invest Bank and the Financial Literacy Centre in Rostov-on-Don put together a programme of events for the public. This included lectures by Center-invest Bank experts on management, planning, taxation and accountancy in the modern financial world. Some of the events were for specific groups (schoolchildren, students, entrepreneurs, and pensioners), while other events were open to all members of the general public.

This year, to ensure that even the very young could participate in Global Money Week, Center-invest Bank organized interactive educational games for pre-school children.

The Bank also ran a Global Money Week quiz for members of its “Knowledge is Strength” group on the Russian social network, Vkontakte.

The Bank’s work to raise financial literacy continues all year round. A key component of this is the online training platform school.centrinvest.ru. The platform combines training modules in the basics of entrepreneurship, video lectures, and textbooks. These resources help users to assess their entrepreneurial capabilities and resources, produce a business plan, and select the most appropriate start-up loan product. Everyone who completes the “Enterprise for All” course receives a certificate. Over 20,500 people have registered on the portal so far.
