Financial Literacy Centre Receives Public Recognition Award

12.12.2016

The Krasnodar Krai Public Chamber has bestowed a «Public Recognition» award on the Financial Literacy Centre in Krasnodar. The Centre is a joint social and educational project of Center-invest Bank and Kuban State Technological University.

This is the second year in a row that one of Center-invest Bank’s social projects has been a winner in the «Public Recognition» competition held by the Krasnodar Krai Public Chamber.

«Center-invest Bank has been working hard to support young people, education, and young entrepreneurs for many years,» said Lyubov Popova, Secretary of the Krasnodar Krai Public Chamber. «Its projects are in many ways innovative and very important for society.»

The Financial Literacy Centre is an open forum where information about finance is provided free of charge and in an accessible and interesting format. The aim of the project is to provide young people, the working population, pensioners, and small businesses in southern Russia with free training and advice on financial issues. This will help the local population to avoid mistakes when borrowing money and carrying out other financial transactions.

At the Centre, experts from Center-invest Bank regularly provide training for university students who are studying Banking. New entrepreneurs can attend free seminars on business planning and obtaining finance, and pensioners can learn how to use financial products safely.

«Center-invest Bank is committed to making long-term social investments,» said Alexei Rashevsky, manager of the bank’s Krasnodar branch. «The Financial Literacy Centre in the Rostov region proved so relevant and successful that we decided to open a similar centre in Krasnodar. And we are delighted to work in partnership with Kuban State Technological University. The project reflects our responsible attitude to the development of society and to improving the financial literacy of the general population and new entrepreneurs.»
