Moody’s affirms reliability and stability of Center-invest Bank

16.02.2017

On 3 February 2017 Moody′s Investors Service affirmed Center-invest Bank’s B1 long-term rating for deposits and senior debt, outlook stable. This was following its annual visit to the bank.

Center-invest Bank is the only bank in southern Russia to have had an international rating since 2006.

In its Credit Opinion, Moody’s notes the higher resilience of the bank’s operating environment (the economy of southern Russia) to negative pressures in the Russian economy, its healthy capital profile, its cautious approach to credit risk, seen in the careful selection of customers and emphasis on long-term customer relationships, its extremely low level of currency risk, and its professional and balanced approach to managing liquidity risk.

This assessment attests to the success of Center-invest Bank’s transformational banking business model. This model allows Center-invest Bank to withstand the systemic crisis in the Russian banking market, be a leading player in the Russian financial market for retail and SME lending, and facilitate its customers’ transition onto a trajectory of post-crisis growth.
