Center-invest Bank is proud to sponsor a unique exhibition, "Ivan Aivazovsky: 200 Years of Triumph", which opened at the Rostov Region Museum of Fine Arts on 18 August 2017. To mark this event and inspire the younger generation, the bank is also holding a children’s art competition.
Ivan Aivazovsky is a world-famous Russian marine painter (1817-1900). This is the first exhibition to bring together examples of his work from the collections of three museums in southern Russia: the Rostov Region Museum of Fine Arts, the Taganrog Museum of Art, and the Krasnodar Krai Kovalenko Museum of Art.
As well as Aivazovsky’s masterpieces, the exhibition includes video recordings and photographs relating to his life and work. The exhibition also features seascapes by Russian artists from the 19th to the early 20th century.
From 18 August to 20 September, Center-invest Bank is running a children’s drawing competition in southern Russia, "Young Marine Artists". The entries will be judged by a professional jury and the 25 best works will be displayed during the final week of the Ivan Aivazovsky exhibition, alongside the work of the master.
The "Ivan Aivazovsky: 200 Years of Triumph" exhibition runs until 1st October 2017.
