Center-invest Bank Receives Public Recognition Award for Corporate Volunteering

12.12.2017

The Krasnodar Financial Literacy Centre, which is a joint social and educational project of Center-invest Bank and Kuban State Technological University, has received a Public Recognition Award from the Krasnodar Krai Public Chamber.

This is the third year in a row that a Center-invest Bank project has been among the winners of the Public Recognition competition held by the Krasnodar Krai Public Chamber. This year the award recognises the bank’s contribution to the development of corporate volunteering in the region.

Volunteers from the Financial Literacy Centre help Krasnodar’s residents to understand how best to manage their personal finances.

  • Center-invest Bank staff have held 180 free lectures and seminars relating to financial literacy.
  • 160 students have volunteered with the Financial Literacy Centre, providing the local population with advice on financial issues.
  • A total of 23 classes have been held for 625 children in Krasnodar schools.
  • 57 free seminars have been held for new entrepreneurs.
  • In 2017 over 6000 Krasnodar residents improved their financial literacy with the help of Center-invest Bank and the Financial Literacy Centre.

The Financial Literacy Centre is an open forum where information about finance is provided free of charge and in an accessible and interesting format. The aim of the project is to provide young people, the working population, pensioners, and small businesses in southern Russia with free training and advice on financial issues. This will help the local population to avoid mistakes when borrowing money and carrying out other financial transactions.

"Center-invest Bank’s social investments are long-term and systemic in nature," said Diana Lipinskaya, manager of the bank’s main branch in Krasnodar. "The establishment of Financial Literacy Centres reflects our responsible attitude to the development of society and to improving the financial literacy of the local population and new entrepreneurs."
