In November 2020, Tsimlyansk Marine Engineering Plant and Volgodonsk Wood Panels Factory signed banking services agreements with Center-invest Bank. Both companies are in the federal list of "systemically important" companies.

Under these agreements, Center-invest Bank will provide the two companies and their affiliates with comprehensive banking services: payments and cash management, international trade support, consultancy on currency control, salary programmes, corporate bank cards, loans and leasing for business development, and preferential terms on consumer loans for employees.

The bank’s partners share its philosophy of socially responsible business. They apply ESG principles by respecting the environment, developing green technologies, strengthening corporate governance, and considering the needs of current and future generations.

Tsimlyansk Marine Engineering Plant uses the latest energy efficient technologies and its working practices safeguard water resources. It is certified for environmental management in design, production and water use.

"The strategic partnership between our company and Center-invest Bank is a real-life example of cooperation between regional businesses for the economic benefit of our region and the country as a whole," said Alexander Kvint, CEO of Tsimlyansk Marine Engineering Plant. "We have embarked on a new level of cooperation, which will spur new growth for both parties."

The Volgodonsk Wood Panels Factory is one of the city’s largest systemically important companies, with over 1000 employees and a turnover of RUB1.9bn in 2019. The company has introduced an environmental management system and an occupational health and safety management system in accordance with the international standards ISO 14000 and OSHAS 19000. This has enabled the company to develop and launch an Integrated Management System that meets modern environmental standards. In addition, the company’s management pay a lot of attention to social and charitable programmes.

"The bank’s rates and tariffs are very affordable, while their service is VIP-level," said Aleksei Firsov, CEO of Volgodonsk Wood Panels Factory. "Our employees are happy to switch to Center-invest Bank salary cards, and many of them have already obtained mortgages from the bank on preferential terms. Looking after our team and their families is a priority for us. I am sure that we will carry out joint social and environmental projects with the bank in the future."

Center-invest Bank is a regional bank which is growing organically. It is among the top ten Russian banks for SME lending, and it is a shining example of the successful implementation of an ESG banking business model in Russia. In addition to its ACRA national scale rating, Center-invest Bank has had a Ba3 rating, outlook stable, from Moody’s Investors Service since 2006. Moody’s affirmed this rating in May of this year.

As part of its ESG digitalisation strategy, and reinforcing its reputation as an effective and reliable institution, Center-invest Bank continually enhances and expands its online services for retail and business customers, increasing the proportion of active customers using mobile applications and remote banking channels.
