The bank actively finances projects in the field of energy saving and rational use of resources, supports social entrepreneurship and carries out extensive educational activities, encouraging clients and partners to take a responsible approach to environmental and social issues.
Center-invest Bank has implemented an ESG rating model for loans to SMEs, with the help of which more than 5 thousand projects (88% of the loan portfolio) for a total of 37 billion rubles have been assessed based on non-financial metrics. The bank also maintains records of the financed emissions, calculating the carbon footprint of agricultural loans (1.6 thousand agricultural loans for 14.0 billion rubles) and mortgages (3.4 thousand mortgage loans for a total of 11.1 billion rubles).
Center-invest Bank is consistently working to reduce its own carbon footprint. By using solar energy, the bank has achieved more than half of its own carbon neutrality.
Center-invest Bank presented its practical experience in implementing ESG banking principles at the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku in 2024.
Leading rating agency ACRA assigned Center-invest Bank an ESG-AA rating of level ESG-2, which confirms the bank’s commitment to the principles of environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
