A showcase of using the digital rouble in the Don region was held at the Center-invest Bank exhibition booth. Bank experts demonstrated how the digital rouble will help optimise the budget process when financing a football club’s activities.
Participants at Finopolis tested a prototype interface for creating smart contracts between those involved in the digital rouble project: the Government of the Rostov Region, FC "Rostov", Center-invest Bank and the Bank of Russia.
Introducing a digital rouble for sports subsidies will help the region save up to two thousand man-hours per year, while also preventing errors and eliminating the need for manual verification of targeted spending. This experience could be transferred to other areas of the economy in the Rostov Region in the future.
Center-invest Bank has joined the Bank of Russia’s pilot project to introduce the digital rouble in 2023. In 2025, the bank joined the working group on the Rostov Region’s participation in the "Digital Rouble" project. Center-invest Bank has now launched digital rouble payments for legal entities participating in the pilot project.
Forum participants and guests at the Center-invest Bank booth also learned about promising student start-ups and asked questions about the bank’s adaptive artificial intelligence model for sustainable banking.
