On October 24, 2023, the V Congress of the Russian Association of Statisticians was held in Orenburg, where Vasily Vysokov, Chairman of Center-invest Bank’s Board of Directors, Professor, Doctor of Economics, was awarded the Badge of Honour «For Contribution to the Development of Statistics».

Professor Vysokov became a laureate for the award of the Badge of Honour of the All-Russian Public Organisation «Russian Association of Statisticians» in the nomination «For Significant Contribution to Strengthening the Statistical Community».

«Statistics replaces words and emotions with numbers and arguments that evoke new words and emotions. Analysis is a form of existence of data that allows us to simplify or amplify our understanding of the world around us. Data analysis is endless and statistics is an eternal profession. I wish all statisticians a long life and creative success,» Professor Vysokov said. For 30 years, Center-invest Bank has been actively collaborating with Rostovstat on scientific and educational projects, developing and promoting statistics in Southern Russia. In 2018, Center-invest Bank was the general sponsor of the II Open Russian Statistical Congress in Rostov-on-Don, which included the Big Data Analytics Festival at the Rostov State University of Economics (RSUE).

With financial support from Center-invest Bank, Rostovstat published seven theme-based statistical digests that are widely used by higher education institutions in Southern Russia, government authorities and businesses. Three of them focus on the Sustainable Development Goals. Such a comprehensive analysis of regional SDG indicators was the first in Russia and remains the only one to date.

In 2023, Center-invest Bank became the general sponsor of the regional stage of the VI All-Russian School Competition on Statistics «Trend»: the competition’s winners and runners-up teams, as well as mentor teachers, were awarded cash prizes, which is an additional motivation for Don schoolchildren to take part in the competition.

Together with the largest universities in Southern Russia, Center-invest Bank holds regular training sessions, competitions and hackathons that make extensive use of official statistics. Center-invest Bank supports talents, promotes the development of statistics and the effective use of statistical methods and tools for data analysis.
