On July 12 the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Center-invest Bank professor Vasily V. Vysokov, doctor in economics, gave a lecture named “Traditions and prospects of regional planning” to the members of Rostov region Administration. A formal reason for the lecture was a peculiar anniversary of the lecturer: 30 years ago sharp a graduate from Rostov Institute of National Economy started cooperating with regional Administration. However, the lecture was not devoted to memoirs, but to relevant problems of territorial planning improvement under new conditions.

The audience was given a systematized review of current planning theories, methodology for plans development and plan work organization in the key industries of regional economy. Various examples of implementation of different theoretical approaches in native and foreign planning practice were of especial interest for the audience.

An approach concerning Investment activity management at regional level under new economic conditions basing on combining of state support forms and picking out of infrastructure, ecological and social components of investment programs.
