Students from the Higher School of Economics (Moscow), Munster University (Germany) and South Federal University (Rostov) have recently completed six-month placements with Center-Invest Bank, organised as part of a large European education project, TEMPUS POMBI.

The main objective of the project is to train future specialists in SAP IT solutions to work in all sectors of the Russian economy. In the IT Department of southern Russia’s largest bank the students studied advanced automated business processes for banking. The state-of-the-art SAP for Banking system being introduced by Center-Invest was used as a case study.

Today, specialists in SAP solutions are among the professionals most in demand both in Russia and abroad.

Center-Invest Bank, SAP CIS and the Southern Federal University signed an agreement on cooperation under the SAP University Alliance Program. Under this programme, a new centre has been set up which is training specialists in SAP solutions and also developing the curricula for courses in SAP products.

Center-Invest’s socio-educational projects encompass all participants in the educational process: teachers, students, schoolchildren and young specialists.

In Russia, this way of doing business is called ‘socially responsible’, while in international practice the term 'sustainable' is used: ‘sustainable’ describes a business that aims to introduce new knowledge, technology and ways of working for the benefit of future generations.
