Center-invest Bank has launched a new product for contactless payments: using a Watch2pay^® device with PayPass™ technology and a Center-invest bank card, customers can make payments with just one tap.

The Watch2pay^® device from Center-invest Bank is a wristwatch manufactured by the Austrian company LAKS™. The watch has a special slot for a MasterCard PayPass card, which can be issued both for new and existing bank cards.

To make payments, customers simply have to hold their watch near a payment terminal that accepts MasterCard PayPass. Customers have to enter their PIN number only for purchases of over RUB1000.

PayPass payments are accepted by around 2.1 million retail outlets in 63 countries. PayPass cards can be used in major supermarket chains, restaurants and shops. A list of merchant locations accepting PayPass payments is available at www.paypass.ru/paypass-locator.html

Any customer with a bank card from Center-invest Bank, including a payroll card, can apply for a Watch2pay device. (The only exception is the “pensioner” card.) The cost to the customer is RUB5000. Applications can be made at any Center-invest Bank branch or online on the bank’s website.
