The ratings agency Expert RA has published a ranking of Russia’s top banks for mortgage lending. Center-invest Bank has moved 3 places up the ranking, to 14th for total mortgage lending, and 16th for size of mortgage portfolio.
In 2020 Center-invest Bank lent customers a total of RUB15.4bn to purchase their own home or improve their living conditions. The bank increased its mortgage lending by 64.4% compared with 2019. Its mortgage portfolio grew by 17% to RUB40.4bn at FYE 2020.
Center-invest Bank participates in government-subsidised programmes such as the Rural Mortgage programme and the 6.5% New-Build Mortgage programme (the bank has reduced the rate to 6%). A total of RUB3.4bn was lent under these programmes in 2020. All of the mortgages are fixed rate for the whole term of the agreement. We do not charge additional fees or require customers to take out insurance.
Center-invest Bank also has its own mortgage programmes for customers wishing to purchase a new build property, a property on the secondary market, or a parking space. Customers can also decide to build their own house. The bank’s mortgage refinancing programmes remain popular: 23% of the mortgages issued by Center-invest Bank in 2020 were to refinance loans from other banks.
