The forum was attended by the Minister of Economy of the Krasnodar Territory, representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, universities, and business leaders of the South of Russia.

The forum participants discussed the sustainable development agenda in the new circumstances, the region development strategy, and the regional economy growth points.

In his speech, Professor Vysokov stressed that the only correct answer to the question “Sustainability or growth?” in the new reality is “Sovereign structural transformation”. Transformation is constant changing in the setting of continuous crises. Structural transformation presupposes a coordinated change of all the elements: resources, products, markets, technologies, rules. The speaker also highlighted the need for balanced development on the basis of independent strategic transformation path.
