Center-invest Bank unveiled new solutions and knowledge-based capital at the FINOPOLIS 2021/2022 Forum of Innovative Financial Technologies. Two teams, mentored by the bank’s experts, came 2nd and 4th in a hackathon held at the forum.
Traditionally, the forum includes the FINOdays youth program and a hackathon to attract young professionals to the financial technology industry and hone their professional skills. Center-invest Bank provided case studies for the hackathon, held workshops and participated in mentoring the project implementation. The Origin dev team, which had a case study and mentors from Center-invest Bank, came second after the National Payment Card System team. Also, the bank’s specialists mentored the youngest team — InfoChapaev (with an average age of 15), which came 4th out of 20. It won the audience award and the right to climb the stage alongside the adult winners.
Center-invest Bank also took part in exhibition activities — the bank’s experts showcased new biometric technologies based on machine learning, as well as a method for recognizing banknotes using video recording cameras. The problem book «Economics of Transformations», published in collaboration with the Rostov State University of Economics, and the ESG problem book written by the bank in partnership with the Don State Technical University caught the eye. The latter introduces readers to the ESG agenda by solving problems related to Sustainable Development Goals using modern information technologies. Both books were highly praised by Bank of Russia Vice-Chairman Ruslan Vesterovsky. The Bank of Russia University will consider adding Center-Invest Bank materials to its library’s collection for training future bankers.

The FINOPOLIS forum is held by the Bank of Russia in partnership with banks and IT leaders to discuss and implement modern digital technologies in the financial sector.
